Cinnamon Crunch Stuffed Apples

Perfect Autumn Dessert. These Crunchy Yummy Apples are delicious and Healthy

Ingredients: 

For the apples:

  • 7 Apples
  • 1 liter water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

For the apple filling:

  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  •  1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp date syrup
  • Raw Achva tahini 

instructions: 

  • Peel the apples, and remove the core. 
  • Slice little holes through the apple to prevent exploding during baking. 
  • In a large pot, boil the apples in water, add sugar and cinnamon. cook till lightly soften (“Al Dante'”)
  • Meanwhile, roughly grind the nuts
  • Then, in a big bowl, mix all ingredients for the apple filling.
  • Fill the apples with the apple filling, and add some date syrup. 
  • Place the apples on a baking tray and cover with tin foil. 
  •  Set your oven to 180 degrees celsius and bake for 10 min. then remove the foil and bake for another 20 min. 
  • Serve warm with a drizzle of raw Achva tahini
