Chicken satay skewers are a staple in Asian cuisine. Easy to make yet incredibly tasty! The secret lies in the unique marinades used as well as the blend of spices that really bring out the flavor in the chicken.
Ingredients:
For the chicken:
1/2kg chicken breast chopped and skewered on wooden skews.
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp whole “Achva tahini”
3 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp yellow curry paste
1/2 lime squeezed
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of coconut milk
instructions:
Heat oil over medium heat, once the oil is hot add the curry, tahini, honey, soy sauce, and sugar.
Add all liquid ingredients and bring to a boil. (if too thick, add more water ).
Divide the sauce. set aside 1/3, and marinate the chicken in the remaining 2/3 for 1 hour.
Heat a cast-iron pan, and grill skews on high heat until brown.
