Loaded with ample doses of dates, raisins, and buttery pecans, this easy recipe creates a homey and irresistible teatime dessert. There won’t be a crumb left of these crunchy goodies!
Ingredients:
For the dough:
1 cup rising flour
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 pack baking powder
2 tsp vanilla sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp orange juice
pinch of salt
1 tsp lemon zest
3 large eggs
1 1/2 cups of chopped almonds
1/2 cups of chopped pecan
For the topping:
1/2 cup “Achva date syrup tahini spread”
3 tsp chopped nuts of choice (pecans, pistachios, walnuts, almonds… ) mixed with honey.
instructions:
In a large bowl mix; flour, sugar, baking powder vanilla sugar, salt, and nuts.
Heat your oven to 180 degrees celsius.
Divide the mixture into 4 parts, and place on 2 baking trays.
Bake for 20-30 min, until golden. then set aside to chill
For the cookie topping, dip in the tahini spread, then in the nut mixture.
